Sony has announced that it will be touring the UK in February with its brand-new handheld gaming console the Sony PlayStation Vita.

The Sony Entertainment tour that plans to make pit-stops in many major UK cities will give lucky gamers a chance to get their hands on the PS Vita before its 22 February release date.


The Vita Rooms will be decked out with PS Vita units featuring example games including Uncharted: Golden Abyss, FIFA 12, Reality Fighters, MotorStorm RC Modnation Racers: Road Trip, Little Deviants, Escape Plan, Super Stardust and Wipeout 2048

Hitting Manchester first, the tour will allow gamers who have been patiently waiting for the release of the new hand held console, to finally have all of their burning questions answered by on hand representatives. There may even be a chance to speak to the brains behind some of the games, as it has been suggested that some developers may also make an appearance.

Manchester too far? Do not fear! Sony have promised that the tour will be making its way to the South as well. Although no firm location commitments have been made Vita Rooms will be calling in on Glasgow, Birmingham and London at some point throughout January/February 2012. Sony have asked for fans to keep beady eyes pinned to Facebook for further updates.

The Vita Rooms tour begins at 63 Deansgate in Manchester from 13 January to Wednesday 18 January.
